The North Country floods, freezes, and sprawls across terrain no single weather station can cover — most of the region has no real-time environmental data at all.

NorthCountryPulse is an open, low-power sensor network built on LoRa — wireless that reaches where cellular and WiFi don't. It's designed to give communities real-time flood warning along the Raquette River before water reaches roads or homes, and to support climate and agricultural research as the network grows across the region.

📡 Sense

Battery-powered nodes track water level, temperature, and more — no cell signal needed.

🤝 Act

Communities, researchers, and emergency managers can respond faster.

Built at Clarkson University, with a sister project at the Institute of Business Administration and Engineering (ITB), FH Münster in Steinfurt, Germany.
